The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year, commonly known as "New Year", "New Year", "New Year's Day", etc., also known as "New Year" or "Great New Year", is a folk festival that integrates the elimination of old customs, the worship of gods and ancestors, praying for blessings and warding off evil spirits, family and friends reunion, celebration and entertainment, and food. The folk customs of the Spring Festival have been approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
