How to weave DIY mesh hammock bed?
Preparation tools: 3 hardwood sticks with a diameter of 1.25 inches each 30 inches long, 2 hardwood sticks with a diameter of 5/8 inches each 36 inches long, 200 yards of 1/4 inch thick nylon rope or other solid ropes, 8 yards of 1/2 inch rope, 4 1-inch wooden sticks, electric hand drill, tape measure, scissors.
1. Because it is necessary to drill holes on the wooden stick, it is necessary to ensure that the positions of each hole are symmetrical and corresponding, so that the frame of the hammock will be neat. Mark 2 and 3.5 inches away from both ends of the 2 sticks with a diameter of 1.25 inches; The third 1.25 inch stick only needs to be marked 3.5 inches from both ends.
2. Drill 1/4 inch holes on the wooden stick on the mark 3.5 inches from both ends; Drill 5/8 inch holes 2 inches from both ends.
3. Grind the small debris on the drill hole with sandpaper, and put both ends of two thin wooden rods through the 5/8 holes on the rough wooden rod to make a frame for a hammock. The ends of the thin wooden stick should be about 1 inch long outside the frame.
4. At the intersection of the sticks, use the electric hand drill to nail a long screw to fix the sticks together, so that the frame of the small hammock is ready.
5. Before knotting, hang the finished frame at a high place for easy operation.
6. Take 1/4 inch thick ropes and cut 16 pieces, each 26 feet long. In the demonstration, take a rope and fold it in half. Wrap the folding part around the stick from top to bottom, and then pass the end of the rope through the small ring at the folding part and tighten it. The other 15 ropes are also tied to the thick wooden stick above the frame in this way.
7. After all are suspended, there are 26 strands of rope on your frame.
8. To weave a small hammock, start from the four strands of rope on one side, cross the leftmost rope across the adjacent two strands of rope to the right, and go out from under the rightmost rope. The rope on the right side is just the opposite. The rope on the right side passes under the two adjacent ropes on the left, crosses over the rope on the left side, and tightens it at its bend.
9. The other half is just the opposite: the rope on the right side crosses the adjacent two strands of rope to the left and goes out from below the rope on the left side, the rope on the left side goes out from below the adjacent two strands of rope to the right, then crosses the rope on the right side, goes out from its "bend" and tightens the rope.
10. Repeat the knitting step, and tie the other ropes in a group of 4 strands together to complete the diy hammock.
11. The second row of square knots starts from the third rope, which is also a group of four knots, leaving two strands on each side. When the second row of square knots is completed, adjust them to make their heights consistent. The third line of knots starts from the first strand of rope, and the fourth line starts from the third strand of rope and knots alternately until the end of the rope.
12. In the end, it is almost necessary to weave a 45 inch long knot net, which is longer than the frame of the hammock. Wrap every 4 strands of rope around the rough wood rod under the frame and tie it.
13. Then divide every 4 strands of rope into two, continue to knot, tighten and fix.
14. Cut off the excess rope at the end.
15. Then take a rope 1/2 inch thick, cut a 120 inch long rope, fold it in half and tie it, as shown in the figure, to make a rope ring.
16. Hang the rope loop at a high place for the following steps.
17. Take the third thick wooden stick, pass both ends of the rope through the holes on the stick and tie a knot to fix it. The length of the rope from the top loop to the hole of the stick is about 20 inches.
18. Finally, the hammocking is ready.
